I would love to own a ‘Cloud’ table
designed by Anna and Marek Lorens.
Composed from a number of hexagonal
elements, the multi-functional table is
functional, beautiful, and playful all in one.
Made of plywood-and-aluminium it is available
in variety of configurations and finishes as well
as in a downsized, children’s version. I want.
Check out their website. They make some pretty
cool stuff.

Beautiful Pod Style Hotel
The whimsical hotel Qbic London City recently opened,
charming the pants off the budget conscious traveler.
This new, captivating hotel was designed by Blacksheep
with playful modular bedrooms, called Cubis, that are
slightly futuristic and perfectly fun mirroring its
East London location in Whitechapel, while keeping
in line with Qbic’s strong brand identity. The inviting
hotel is outfitted with modern Scandinavian furnishings
and mid-century finds, crossed with quirky elements
giving it a welcoming feel for guests.
Beautiful Antique Iron Bar
This is a beautiful example of reuse.
Back in the day when light bulbs were
new on the market, Germans had big,
bulbous machines for testing light
bulb voltage. Today these large, 1920s
machines are being re-purposed as bar carts.

Beautiful Product Design
This Jump Seat designed by Ziba
for Sedia Systems is versatile,
functional, and beautiful all in one.
Love the pink version.

Beautiful Furniture Design
I would like one of these.
Beautiful sofa TOWARD by Anne Boysen.
Sleek and simple.

Beautiful Mod Playroom
The chair lover in me can’t resist these kid friendly
chairs from Pangea Home.

Also love these kid style mid-century tables
from Lunar Lounge Design. I want one.

And who doesn’t like bean bag chairs and trunks
for secret stash. Bean bags at One Kings Lane
and trunks are from Phat Tommy.

Beautiful Hotel Interior
I love the simplicity, eclectic and friendly character of this
renovated hotel in Alabama. So many boutique hotels
are over done and pretentious but not the Alabama Hotel.
Situated in the inner city, The Alabama Hotel has been
recently revived and re-opened after a near-decade
long hiatus. Its boutique budget status keeps a personal
creative feel without costing a year’s pay. Artwork on the
walls includes Tom O’Hearn, Aeden Howlett and Stu Dobell.

Beautiful Portable Furniture
Carry On, from Swedish design studio Offecct, is a nicely rounded,
compact stool designed to be carried and moved around with
ease all while looking handsome. It’s tailored with impeccable
details in refreshing colors. I’ll take two please.

Beautiful Bauhaus
Bunk with Breuer and the gang. The Bauhaus Dessau is now open to the public,
a modernist dream. For $47 a night, you can snooze in the same rooms that were
shared by Joseph Albers and architects Franz Ehrlich and Alfred Arndt.
Sweet dreams indeed. Sleep like a Bauhasler.
