Beautiful Georgetown Neighborhood

My favorite neighborhood lately is funky
Georgetown. It has the added distinction
of being the oldest neighborhood in Seattle.
With its own unique identity — one that’s
“industrial bohemian chic”, it’s one of the last
few remaining authentic neighborhoods in
Seattle. I love the grittiness, old rail yards,
bars with live music, coffeehouses, art galleries,
quirky culture, fun hangouts and restaurants
serving a diverse, hipster-leaning set.
Hidden amidst the sprawling warehouses
is an oasis of humanity.

Beautiful Swanky Airbnb Bird Houses

Birdbnb, Airbnb for Birds.
Birds now have a swankier and more beautiful home
than you thanks to vacation rental site, Airbnb.
In a new campaign called Birdbnb, the internet
giant seeks to provide shelters for migrating birds
because to them, ‘Every Traveler Deserves a Home’.
With the help of five designers, Airbnb made birdhouse
copies of its 50 most interesting property listings and
placed them in New Orleans’ Audobon Park, where
many migrating birds flock to during the migratory
season. The designs feature some unique and quirky
architecture from around the world. Some are
lighthouses, some look like wagons, and one is
even a medieval castle in Ireland!

Beautiful Rainbow Spectrum

A beautiful bright spectrum of colors to bask in whilst walking through
a cathedral of rainbows. To Breathe – A Mirror Woman is Kimsooja’s
site-specific installation for the Palacio de Cristal in Madrid, Spain.

To expand and unite the architectural structure of the space, Kimsooja
had the whole floor tiled in mirrors. She then covers the vault and the
entire glass surface of the palace with a translucent diffraction film.
When outside light filters through the glass and reflects off the film,
it creates a rainbow spectrum that is mirrored in every part of the atrium.
