A wonderful secret cove hidden across the bay
from my old stomping grounds. Now and again
I miss this place and I start think about the
hidden gems. Just west of the Golden Gate,
Kirby Cove is a secluded, beautiful beach,
with a spectacular view of the bridge, and
far away from the hustle of the city. If you
have the opportunity to enjoy it, do.
Spring did come, On butterfly’s wings.
On a flitting bird, And the song it sings.
Spring did come, When the flowers bloomed,
When it filled the air, With a sweet perfume.
Spring did come, On the morning’s breeze.
Spring did come, On budding leaves.
Spring did come, On blades of dew.
Spring did come, In skies of blue.
Spring did come, With a joyous ring.

Spring is almost here…telltale signs abound.

And as designers, the whole point of the work is discovering:

the constellation of a new sky full of wonder?
Winter solstice has arrived.
Sun filtering through leaves between
two trees. Last days of autumn.

I usually can’t achieve this kind of detail with an
iPhone, the lighting must have been perfect to
capture the water droplets

Rest is something that can be captured as form
of meditation, or a day-dream, the idea of slowing
down and taking notice of the present, re-store,
a point of re-envisioning challenges
and looking at them with intent.
Rest isn’t only a stop, it’s a place on a journey.
An “intermission of labor, mental peace.”
That quiet stance of contemplation,
being in that place, a sentinel, an observant.
Rest, Respite.
Restore, renew.
To look again. To see anew.
