This beautiful berry plant is an attention getter; looks like
it’s fall season with the orange+red leaves but indeed
it’s spring. Not sure why the leaves have a fall color
and love the berries+color.

My obsession with patterns+textures continues.
This is a wonderful water permeable driveway
spied on Queen Anne Hill. Most of the Queen Anne
residences are historic however this driveway
serves one of the newly rebuilt modern homes.

Beautiful Places
One of the best views of Seattle is from Kerry Park atop Queen Anne Hill.
Doesn’t get much better than this unless of course Mt. Rainier is out.
On this day alas it was not. One of my favorite things to do to unwind
is climb the the stairs of different neighborhoods. Wonderful surprises
and discoveries arise from anywhere which is half the fun.

Beautiful Pink
Recently I was in Kirkland and randomly came across this tree
with beautiful pink flowers. They appeared like silk and are slightly
translucent. I don’t know the name of the tree but the flowers are stunning.
History of the Color Pink
No other color in modern history has carried such gravitas when it comes to associations with masculinity, femininity and politics. The color PINK, a vessel for weighty subject material, indeed. Especially when you consider the fact that it has only been around in its proper form for less than 500 years. Who knows what the future for this light shade of red will hold, but this info graphic covers the last hundred years of politics and pop culture in all things pink.
