Meandering around Pioneer Square
one of my favorite neighborhoods
in Seattle.
Historic Lucknow building. The building mixes
moderate-income residential apartments with
retail space on the ground floor, adjacent to
Waterfall Garden. It was the first housing
demonstration project in the Pioneer Square
Preservation District.
Historic Smith Tower
One of my favorite buildings is recognized.
The annual American Institute of Architects’ (AIA)
Institute Honor Awards program announced
that King Street Station in Seattle, WA
has been selected from a total of 500 national
submissions. The project is one of the recipients
selected by the AIA for excellency in architecture.

There isn’t anything special about this building
located next to The HUB, but I really like and
appreciate the old world stone for its authenticity.
Olsen Kundig Architect’s [storefront] will be no longer.
[storefront] is closing after 2 groundbreaking years in
Pioneer Square. Celebrate Wed. Oct. 23 at 5 pm.
